Zak Nibble Trays Review & Giveaway

We received a Zak Nibble Tray when we got home from Canada to try out & review on the blog. I fell in love with it ages ago on a different site and had it on my list of things I wish I had when F&B were babies (seriously, wouldn't it be the cutest baby bento ever???) So did Faith, so we were quite excited to get one of our own to try out. Even better, with all the little compartments, we realized that it really does hold quite a bit of food if you want it to, so it's working it's way into our bento & Muffin Tin Monday rotation.

Faith & I filled it up with lots of fun little foods and discovered some great things along the way. Besides just being a really adorable pineapple, the tray splits into two pieces. The lower part (yellow) has 4 smaller compartments and two larger ones. The upper green piece has three o compartments, a larger center one and two smaller side ones. Each half has a separate lid for storing in the fridge.

As well, the green part can be frozen to keep the dips cool if you so desire. We opted for multiple dips in the green part--hummus, ranch & vanilla yogurt are favorites, but I haven't made our favorite tomato/roasted red pepper or avocado dips recently either. Better yet, the dip segments aren't huge, so one portion is a reasonable amount of dip for a toddler (or my almost 8 year old, as the case may be).

Other good things we've discovered, the Nibble Trays are BPA free and they are dishwasher safe! I love when kid products can go in the dishwasher. :o)

The Nibble Trays are part of Zak's Dr. Sears Mealtime Products and include a neat little brochure of ideas of how & what to feed toddlers, but the ideas really apply to most kids. F&B were going down the checklist of foods to list what they would like to see in their tray. They are amusing, if nothing else. They have also added a great new section on their website called the "Mealtime Fun Zone". It features a Mealtime Fun Forum, Recipe Exchange & other cool parenting links.

The nice folks at Zak are also offering a second Nibble Tray to giveaway to one of my readers.
